Dr. Yantz moved to Indiana in July of 2007. Prior to her move to Indiana, from 1996 to 2007, she practiced medicine in Florida. During this eleven year time period, she was in private practice for nine years and worked as a hospitalist for two years. She was involved in many committees at Helen Ellis Hospital, including being Chief of Medicine for three years and Assistant Chief of Staff at the time of her relocation to Indiana.
Dr. Yantz graduated from the University of Colorado with her MD and MSPH degrees in May of 1991. She then completed a residency in Family Practice at Stonybrook University Hospital on Long Island in 1994. During medical school, she worked summers with Denver’s Department of Health and Hospitals on the craniosynostosis registry , on the Colorado Action for Healthy People 1986 and as a research assistant for the Piton Foundation on A Profile of Poverty in Metropolitan Denver 1987.
Dr. Yantz enjoys caring for the whole family with a focus on preventive health care, adolescent and well child care and well woman care. She likes treating chronic medical problems, such as hypertension, diabetes, asthma and depression.
In her free time Dr. Yantz enjoys spending time with her family and pets, gardening, boating and reading. .
