Nelda Sturgill, C.N.M.

Nelda is Board-Certified by the American College of Nurse Midwives as a Certified Nurse Midwife. She initially obtained a Diploma in Nursing from The Christ Hospital School of Nursing in Cincinnati and worked at Christ Hospital in Labor and Delivery before returning to school. Nelda received her Undergraduate Degree in Nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University and her Master’s Degree in Nursing from the University of Cincinnati. Nelda is also currently an adjunct faculty member at the Indiana University (IUPUI) School of Nursing, Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Program.

Nelda is actively involved in her local church, as well as medical missions work. She has volunteered several times at La Clinica Luz y Vida, a maternity clinic in rural Honduras. It was during the time that she was here that she decided to expand her skills by pursuing an degree in Midwifery.

When not busy at work, Nelda enjoys spending time on amateur photography and with her friends, often combining the two interests.
