Lourdes Geise, M.D. - Pediatrician

Dr. Lourdes Geise was born in New York, N.Y. and grew up in Puerto Rico before moving to Miami, Florida in her teens.  She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Miami, Florida, and her medical degree from Indiana University.  She completed her pediatric training on active duty with the U.S. Navy and continued to practice with the military until her move back to Indiana in 1998. Dr. Geise is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics. She has been a member of the Windrose team for over 4 years, practicing first at the Edinburgh Health Center before moving to the Countyline Health Center.  Her medical interests include care of newborns, developmental pediatrics, ADHD, and asthma.

Dr. Geise has been very active in community pediatrics and served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for seven years, volunteering to help abused children as they navigate the court system and foster care. She is fluent in Spanish and has been teaching it at the elementary school level for nine years. She is a mother of three, and her hobbies include scrapbooking, dancing, reading, and martial arts.  Dr. Geise has her black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and is a strong advocate of self-defense training for women and children.
